“Millions of small business are underinvested in technology and still running on manual records and spreadsheets,” Gary says. “So there’s a real opportunity to improve their welfare and productivity and have a huge impact on the overall economy.”

Bivek Sharma adds: “Overall, I think small businesses are happy with the result. There’s the cut on national insurance contributions, there’s support with apprenticeships and there’s a tripling of the startup loans. However, our small business customers are telling us that there’s a lot more that still needs to be done.”
